Caregiving is demanding under any circumstances, but caring for a person who is not capable of engaging in normal relationship exchanges poses challenges of its own. Dr. BJ Miller, a palliative medicine specialist at UCSF, shares his thoughts on caregiving for a loved one suffering from dementia.
